Mima is highly experienced cello teacher, over ten years of coaching: cello,chamber music,workshops and master classes in Calgary and Europe!
Since she moved to Calgary she had played on Bach Marathon and volunteered at Calgary Symphonic Orchestra as principal cellist. For two years she was cello section leader At University of Calgary Orchestra. She was Chamber Music Instructor at The Alberta Suzuki String Institute.
On the stage she played together with her Professors, was a member of Quatro String Quartet, had three solo recitals, played for President of Mexican United States, participated at several Master Classes ...
Now Mima runs her cello music studio in Calgary, prepears her next CD, plays Solo, Chamber Music, gigs, weddings and write Cello Instruction Book.
Before moving to Canada she was principal Cello in the Orchestra of Radio Television Pink, principal Cello in the Pro-Classica Chamber Orchestra and principal Cello in the Danubius Chamber Orchestra.
She was guest member with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. She taught at several music schools in Belgrade. As a musician she performed throughout Serbia, Greece, Hungary, London U.K, and Canada.
Mima grew up in a very musical household. Both her parents are classical musicians. Mima remembered her childhood as one filed with music. As a young child she was member of the Radio Television Belgrade Children's Choir. She started playing Cello at the age of 12 and spent much of her childhood making music. At the age of fourteen she became a member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra "Borislav Pascan". Only two years later Mima became the Cello section leader. Had a numerous performances playing with the Orchestra and as soloist in country and abroad.
She is recipient of numerous awards and honors such as Diploma at 33rd Festival of Music Schools (Yugoslavia) Second award, Diploma for contributions in affirmation of music culture... She recorded Cello Suites (Bach) and other musical peaces for everlasting records of Radio Television Belgrade.
